This two day trip takes advantage of Wilgus State Park, a wonder campground located on the Vermont bank of the Connecticute River. Padelers can enjoy full campground amenities. Campsites can be setup before hand or campers can even spend the night in one of the parks "Adarondack" style shelters. Day 1 sees paddlers catching a morning shutle to Sumners Falls Landing. From here the paddler descends 15 miles passing under the Cornish covered bridge. The opportunity to stop and exspore the many islands of the river abound.
Day 2 sees the paddler leave Wilgus for either a short 4 mile paddle for a morning take out at Ashley Ferry Landing or take the option a full second day of paddleing and continue on another 8 miles to Hoyt's landing.
